Awakening

Sec had collapsed when she touched the ancient device in the temple entrance, when she awoke she was looking at the world with different eyes. All of the memories of her past life had finally returned, all of those little connective bits she’d still been missing, and all of the massive gaps had filled in and were clearly visible in her mind. She remembered coming to this planet and meeting the primitive seeming humans who’d already been here for centuries. She remembered building a society with them from the ground up. She remembered Earth. She remembered her name.
